Estate Planning & Fiduciary Services Across Florida State, Plus Consulting Services Nationwide
When you require legal services, it can be difficult to know who you should choose. Choosing the right attorney for your estate planning needs or for consultant and expert witness services could be one of the most important decisions you will make, largely because it will influence decisions that follow. Having a legal asset on board to offer sound advice and guide you through the myriad of decisions you may need to make can be crucial to your future. It could be helpful to ask yourself which attorney another attorney would hire if they found themselves in need of estate planning, professional fiduciary services, or consultant and expert witness services.
Next, carefully consider the traits you find important in your attorney, as well as the type of personality that will best mesh with your own. Of course, you also want to know that the estate planning lawyer you choose is highly experienced and competent—one who knows the ins and outs of estate planning, fiduciary duties, and the relevant Florida laws. You also want to know that your chosen estate planning attorney is honest and conscientious in all dealings with you—and all clients.
The best estate planning attorney, Trustee, or consultant will ask pertinent questions and will be able to answer your questions without making you feel as though you are being talked down to. I believe I hit the mark on every single qualification listed above and much, much more. I am Lea Anne Groover, of Groover Law, and I want to help you get the legal advice and services you need, in the simplest manner possible. Trust and Probate laws are well-known for their complexities; I will answer your questions honestly and completely – and what I don’t know, I will research and find the answer for you.
My reputation should also be a major factor in your choice, as it can be crucial to the outcome of your estate planning. I have earned an excellent reputation throughout the Central Florida and State of Florida estate planning community. I have the experience, skillset, and reputation necessary to ensure your needs are handled quickly and accurately.
Fiduciary Services
When I provide fiduciary services for a client—such as serving as Trustee or Personal Representative/Executor—I take the faith placed in me seriously. While as an attorney, I always owe my clients a fiduciary duty (honesty, good faith, care, and loyalty); when serving in a true fiduciary capacity, I fully understand the absolute necessity of performing my duties with integrity and responsibility to the heirs. I will administer a Trust in good faith, always being loyal to the administration of the Trust, and acting in the beneficiaries’ best interests. When serving as a Personal Representative or Executor, I will carefully manage all assets, taxes, and expenses of the decedent, ensuring beneficiaries are kept up to date on the progress while removing stress from the loved ones.
Estate Planning & Trusts
I can help you with most aspects of estate planning and virtually anywhere in Florida. I fully understand that many people are anxious about estate planning; I will go above and beyond to put you at ease and make the process as painless as possible. Although we know how important an estate plan is, we tend to put off the actual implementation of an estate plan as long as possible.
Wills
Most estate plans consist of a minimum of four documents: Last Will and Testament, Durable Power of Attorney, Health Care Surrogate, and Living Will. An estate plan may also include a Revocable Living Trust. There are several other documents that you may need. Everyone’s estate planning goals and objectives are unique and so are the estate planning documents. In particular, the number of older adults who may need a Will even more than younger adults, are procrastinating when it comes to having a Will prepared. When you have a Will you are ensuring that the state of Florida will not be able to determine who your assets will go to, and who will become the guardian of your minor children—things you almost certainly would not want. Having a Will prepared is a relatively simple matter and one you will feel much better about once it is done. When you have a Will you have peace of mind in knowing your loved ones will not have yet one more problem to deal with following your death—and don’t you want to make things as easy as possible for those you love? I can help you prepare a Will that carefully follows Florida state law and is unique to you and your needs.
Trusts
There are many different types of Trusts, including Revocable Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts, Special Needs Trusts, Pet Trusts, Testamentary Trusts, and more. The most common type of Trust is a Revocable Living Trust. A Living Trust in the state of Florida allows your loved ones to skip probate and receive their inheritance quicker. A Revocable Living Trust has a number of benefits, including it may hold up better than a will in the event someone chooses to contest the distributions. A Revocable Living Trust protects your privacy more than a will, allowing a Successor Trustee to step in should you become incapacitated, taking care of your affairs. I can assist you with all your Trust needs, regardless of the type of Trust you need to include in your Orlando estate plan.
Powers of Attorney
A Power of Attorney can be a useful tool that allows another person to step in and engage in certain transactions on your behalf when you are unable to do so. There are many different types of Power of Attorney documents, including a Healthcare Power of Attorney (Designation of Health Care Surrogate), a Durable Power of Attorney, a General Power of Attorney, a Limited, or Special Power of Attorney, and a Springing Power of Attorney. If you think you could benefit from a Power of Attorney, speaking to me will help you determine the best type of POA for you, and the quickest path to having the POA prepared.
